AGORA – Terms Conditions

1. The coins and objects are carefully described and assessed by experts. The authenticity is guaranteed by the company AGORA – ART OF ANTIQUITY. If, despite conscientious research, it turns out that a piece is fake, the purchase amount will be returned to the customer immediately. In this case, however, the customer cannot claim damages. If the forgery of a coin or an antique object that was generally considered genuine by experts at the time of sale turns out to be false only after years on the basis of new research results, the company AGORA – KUNST DER ANTIKE cannot be held liable for compensation of the purchase price or for damages. In case of doubt about a counterfeit, the expert opinion of the IBSCC (International Bureau for the Suppression of Counterfeit Coins) is used for coins, or in the case of antique objects, the respective specialist of the British Museum.

2. It cannot be ruled out that the online offers will be updated with delays. Therefore, there are no claims in the event of a sale to someone else that may have taken place in the meantime. Your order is bindingly accepted when you have a confirmation by e-mail or post. At the same time, you will receive an advance invoice.

3. All prices are subject to margin taxation in accordance with sec. 24 of the German VAT Act 1994, which already includes the statutory value added tax, but this is not shown separately. Customers outside the EU area are obliged to observe the customs regulations of their country.

4. If you are buying for the first time, you must fill in the customer file sheet on the order form. If you are already a customer of AGORA – ART OF ANTIQUITY, it is sufficient to provide your name and customer number. Then fill in the payment methods that you prefer. You will then receive the invoice within 24 hours (on weekends it can also take 36 hours). After receipt of payment or if you decide on cash on delivery, the goods will be sent to you immediately. It is also possible to pick up the goods directly during opening hours at our business premises for cash payment.

5. If you have not received the shipment within 10 days (USA, Japan and Australia within 15 days), please contact us immediately so that we can arrange a postal investigation. All shipments are insured.

6. If the goods sent to you do not correspond to our description, please send us an e-mail within five days stating the reason for the complaint. If you wish, you will receive the money back or a credit note for a new purchase. If the fault lies with the customer and the complaint is still acknowledged, then the customer receives a credit note. In the case of higher-priced return shipments, the customer is obliged to inform us of the date and place of dispatch so that the shipment can be insured by us.

7. The sale price shall be the euro amount. The other currencies serve as a guideline, but this does not always have to correspond to the exact exchange rate due to exchange rate fluctuations.

8. All legal relationships between AGORA – ART OF ANTIQUITY and users of the platform offered are exclusively governed by Austrian law. Place and place of jurisdiction is 1010 Vienna.
